HCG Day 7 - Pay Back

Well, I ended up eating a very little bit of carbs and fat again last night because of eating Sunday dinner at the in-laws. I tried to keep very close to my diet. Tacos were served. I had one, with shredded pork on it. So that's one tortilla, 3.5 ounces of shredded pork, 1 Tbs guacamole. Plus two chips. And I didn't eat my second fruit, or second grissini, to make up for it. But, alas, two days of eating off-diet foods caught up to me. And today I have a small gain of 0.4 lbs. :(

(Shhhh....it was worth it!)

(As long as I lose weight by tomorrow).

(Or I might cry.)

(But it still might have been worth it for that one tiny peanut butter chocolate bar on Saturday.)

(Plus, I still weigh less than I've weighed for the last year, which is awesome.)

Daily Weight Loss: +0.4 lbs
Total Weight Loss: 3 lbs


(And that is still 3 lbs of weight lost in 5 days, which is better than I've ever done on any diet before.)

I've noticed that the worst thing for ANY diet is eating other-where than home. At home you have control, the right foods at your fingertips, and the bad foods in the trash. Other-where you're faced with goodies. But Congrats on your forbearance with pork tacos!

It always takes my body a couple of days to see a gain. I'll have a cheat meal (or a cheat day!) and the next morning no change on the scale, or I'll be down a bit. But then 2 or 3 days later, my weight will creep up. Metabolizing stuff apparently takes a while.

How is your hunger, do you still feel like you're starving?

I'm on day 1 of South Beach and already craving bread and fruit, but hanging in there!

I agree with "L", I only eat out of my own fridge at the moment. Everything else is just too tempting.

Don't forget to take into account where your body cycle is in relation to what happens to us girls every month. I can easily find that my weight is not moving because I am due my monthly and then afterwards find a dramatic loss.

Oh I HEART carbs too much too. That is my biggest problem. You're still doing great though with the 3 pounds loss overall.

I have been on the strict no starch no sugar for about a week. Then I had dinner with friends last weekend and yes if don’t stick with it, you will put on pounds. I woke up yesterday and had gained over 1 pounds. I have to be more careful with not only what but also where I eat now :P

I know a lot of people who've done this diet and have all gained the weight back after. It doesn't come back all at once, but eventually it does. Good luck.
