Revenge of Mommy Funcakes

It seems that while the mouse is away, the cat will also play.

We passed like ships in the night, Mr.FunGuy and I. Twelve hours after his arrival from China, I was on my way to Sin City. And I guess someone takes his role as Chief Fun Parent very seriously. Because I returned home yesterday to this....

Sugar cereal. Treats. And New Toys. The Trifecta. Oh I see where this is going. This is WAR!

Well, Mr. Funguy, I have 8 hours at home with the kids, the DVR, squirt guns, a secret stash of Easter candy, Pop Tarts, bubbles, and a buttload of chocolate chips.

BRING IT ON!!!

I see nothing wrong with any of it. In fact, I think I'll go have a Dove bar when I finish my bowl here of Lucky Charms!

That's what husbands do! My kids never even notice I'm gone, they have way too much fun with Ben, it makes me so mad!

That is hilarious. Husbands are all the same - they do whatever it takes to keep the kids happy. Ben proudly told me that he didn't ruin the kids while I was gone by doing things like giving the girls cookies for breakfast. I left it at that until G came home from daycare yesterday and asked where all the cookies were. Daddy reminded her that they ate them all - a whole batch of cookies in 3 days. I suppose they must have eaten them for lunch and dinner. But not breakfast.

It seems like this is always the case. Mom's the one who makes the kids clean their room, do their homework, and eat their vegetables, and when she's gone, Dad feeds them loads of sugar, and lets them watch 12 hours straight of TV.
Glad to hear your are challenging our reputation as the mean parent.

Good for you being a fun Mom.

Heh, heh....when I saw all the sweet things as I arrived on your blog---I was like, "Wha the?"

This post reminds me of me, but almost all of the sugar in our house is for ME, not Jen or Mason.
