Today’s post will be in the form of a poll. I’m really into polls lately.
Also, please leave all comments ANONYMOUSLY. I don’t want this to be either a pity party or a brag fest. I just want to know the truth. Thanks.
When it comes to friends I:
A) Have lots of friends who I frequently hang out with in purely social settings. Most of them are friends from growing up/high school/college.
B) Have lots of friends who I hang out with frequently in purely social settings, but I have met them since finishing school (church/work/gym/neighborhood, etc.).
C) Have a few friends from growing up/high school/college who I hang out with occasionally, but not often.
D) Have a few friends from work/church/gym/neighborhood who I hang out with occasionally, but not often.
E) Have a few acquaintances that I know at church, work, gym, etc., but we don’t get together much outside of the church/work/gym/etc.
F) I don’t hang out with many people in purely social settings—I wish I had more friends my age/in my walk of life.
G) I am a female version of the unibomber. I hate people.

Disclaimer: This research may or may not make you feel like a popular person. This research also may or may not be used to make the writer feel superior to everyone else. Just kidding. I voted G. You’re all superior.

I am D all the way.
Probably C for me. I hang out w/friends socially about once a week - usually my sisters or some friends from church. Some I've known a long time, some are more recent. Definitely not the social animal I used to be!
ok I am not on this list..
So I will make my own list..
I have lots of friends, but I do not hang out with them, A phone call, yes, but that is where it stops, I am not the kind of person to hang out with a group once a week, and way to busy to hang out just for fun.
So I call this H..
I am a little of both F and D. :)
I'm definitely a B. Sorry....
I am a mix of C and D. I would like to hang out more but my husband is more of a G.
I guess it would be C and D for me. I actually have very few close friends. That's one of the reason I love blogging so much, is for the social interactions.
I'm a combo of B & C.
I have a group of friends in my neighborhood that I see at least once a week, I have a group of friends I exercise with several times a week, and I see my HS friends several times a year.
I would say I'm a mix of C and F.
I vote C & B. Yes, in that order.
Hmmmm, I guess that E would be the closest to my life...
I don't have a lot of time to hang out with anyone!
I'm like anonymous #3 above: lots of good friends I call often, email often, but hang out rarely, except for 3 or 4 in my current ward, and then the visits are usually brief and every 2nd or 3rd week. I go to movies or watch videos every week or two with one similarly single friend.
Who has time?
High school friends? Ewww. I'd say I'm a D.
B & C
I am probably a mix between E and F. I think that I do have a lot of friends that I keep up with FB and blogging, etc. But I rarely hang out with people. I do enjoy having friends, and at other stages of my life I've been really social. But right now, I just honestly don't know that I have much more to give towards friendships. I do miss having close girl friends, but with a job and small children I really just don't know where I'd fit anything else in. That does sound awful though.
B) Have lots of friends who I hang out with frequently in purely social settings, but I have met them since finishing school (church/work/gym/neighborhood, etc.).
I don't live where I grew up so all my friends are post school.
So the purpose of this poll was to fill empty space while you tried to think of other post ideas, right? I realize that you requested anonymous responses, but my position in the comment race is slipping so call me a cheater. :D I've never really had many close friends, especially when I stole my best friend's girlfriend in high school. Since getting married, I've just about given up on friends except for my spouse and my kids. Maybe I'm just too lazy, just like those animals at the zoo.
