Heaven

I was digging around in my photo files today, looking for things I've taken pictures of to blog about and have never posted, and I found this beauty. It's from the bakery section at Whole Foods in Austin, TX. I know I talk about my love of baked goods a lot--enough for you to know that I really do take pastries seriously. So you'll easily see why this place is just about the most heavenly place on earth to me. If I lived in Austin, on my birthday I would show up some time in the late morning and start eating pastries until I had tried every one of them that I've always wanted to try. Or until they kicked me out at night. Or until I threw up. And maybe still after that. I'd have to play that part by ear.

(This is the one I usually end up getting. Opera cake. Then I buy another 1 or 2 pastries to take home and eat later. Seriously.....heaven.)

Whole Foods bakery is really really good, but Wegmans is even better. Seriously. It rivals any French patisserie I've been to. And they have individual creme brulees. I have to steer clear of that whole section when I'm dieting!!

I know your whole thing about Grocery store bakeries, but I suggest going to the new Harmons on Bangerter and about 135th south in Draper *( right behind 1800 contacts)

they have some of the cutest deserts like those you have pictured, and most of them are just 4 bucks.

I havn't actually tasted them, but they look AMAZing!
