Ich Bin Ein Hamburger

I have noticed over about the last year that trendy new burger places are popping up all over the place. Not only did In 'N' Out Burger make it to our state, and not only did a few copy-cat restaurants open up, it seems like everyone wants to get in on the burger business all of the sudden. There is a new burger shop on every corner practically. And I keep hearing "Oh, Such-and-Such a place has the BEST burgers." Five Guys. Whataburger. Chadders. Smash Burger. They are everywhere. And even though I haven't tried them all, the few I've tried....well, they just taste like burgers to me.

Do you have a new hamburger place by you that is just amazing? Is there something special about their burgers, some mouthwatering ingredient or sauce that makes you love them? Or do you find, like me, that overall burgers are burgers?

So far, I think nothing beats a thick, juicy, homemade burger, hot of my backyard grill. Mmmmmmmmm.......

I'm definitely a Five Guys girl. In N Out's burgers are fine, but honestly, I think they taste like Sonic burgers. I also think their fries taste like cardboard.

And lest someone say that Utahn's don't know what real fries taste like, which is always the argument to that statement, I grew up in S. California, eating them, and I still think they are gross.

I like 5 Guys well enough, but I also like a Whopper JR too so I might be the wrong person to ask!

Five Guys all the way! It tastes so fresh! I used to be like you and not care, but Five Guys changed everything.

Nothing beats home BBQ'd hamburgers.. with winchester sauce. (not sure i spelled it right.. but my brother-in-law cooked with it.. and wow, it made the burgers super yummy.... well, at least i thought so.)

I'll be right over to have one hot off your char-grill! Yummmmmmm! With Miracle whip, a thin smear of Ketchup, a waft of Worcestershire sauce (pronounced "Wooster" by the weird British) a tomato slice, crispy bacon would be divine, grilled onions if I can get them, hold the mustard and cheese, 5 lettuce or 10 spinach leaves, and an almost rare burger patty. (I gained 2 pounds just describing it!) But it did have my green and yellow (red) vegetable!

I like Five Guys. Cheap, yummy, and I like the theme (DIY). Fries are DELISH.

I'm with you, but I've never had In 'N' Out.

I thought 5 Guys was greasy, In n Out was disgusting (well, the crisp lettuce was good), and most others are bleh. I only like a grilled-to-order burger. I love Fuddruckers. Maybe it's because they also grill the bun? I do like a good onion burger made with the french onion soup mix.

Funny you wrote this, Brandon's co-worker is starting a new burger joint soon too. I can't tell you the name, that would be rude.

Oh, I had a smashburger with my friend. I'm not tempted to go back.

I'm not big on burgers. Not saying I don't like them, but... well... they're not very good for you. Maybe I've watched too many Subway commercials.

The last burger I had was an In-and-Out burger back in July. I thought it was pretty good.
