The other day I did something kind of stupid. I ordered some jeans online. Sight unseen. Not tried on. Front view picture only. But they were on clearance, 50% off at store I like that was going out of business, so I just couldn't resist. But on clearance, they were still $45. Not cheap. At least not for me. I'm not one of those girls who will spend $180 on jeans. For me, the $60 I spent on my very favorite Express jeans was a LOT. Until last year, I used to only buy jeans for under $30. So $45 feels like a lot to me.
Well, the jeans arrived this week. And guess what? They're too tight. They go on (with quite a bit of jumping), they zip shut (with quite a bit of sucking in), but, let's face it--they are too tight to wear comfortably. I even got the larger of the two sizes that I'm between right now. But these jeans are obviously built for much skinnier girls. Girls who, despite wearing my size, are much skinnier than me. They have no fat on their thighs. No butt. And certainly no hint of a tummy pooch. These women that the jeans have been designed for are also 5'10". There's about 5-6 inches of jean below my foot when I put them on. And they're the regular length, not the tall! So yeah, they're cute jeans, but I just can't wear them. Only super models (slightly overweight super models) can wear them. And they can't be returned or exchanged. So now I have a dilemma. Tell me what you would do...
A) Find someone you know who can fit the jeans and give them to her as a gift.
B) Try to sell them online
C) Hold on to them and hope that if you lose 5 lbs, and decide to start wearing stiletto heals with jeans, they will fit you perfectly.
Thoughts?

What about never eat again because you're so depressed? Is that an option?
I am in between sizes right now too, its a pain, cuz one are too bit but I cant fit comfortably in the others yet. blah. I have jeans in my drawer from before Andre and I got married with hopes I will fit in them again, so I'm probably not the right person to ask. (yes that was 8 years ago...)
Have a give away!
SIXTY DOLLAR JEANS!!! I'm obviously NOT in your class! The only thing more chancy than jeans is buying shoes online - they never-ever-ever-ever fit.
I say sell on e-bay. At least you'll get SOME of your money back. Or perhaps you could buy a medieval rack online, and stretch your body until it is taller and thinner. But they you'd be taller than Kel. (Say! Would those Jeans fit HIM?)
skinny jeans?! I've never been able to wear skinny jeans even when I was skinny. I think they are made for a certain body type and it ain't mine. I not only have junk in the trunk, I've got junk under the hood too if you know what I mean. Sell 'em.
E-bay 'em.
Give them to who? Do you know anybody who looks like that? eBay, definitely.
I have a range of sizes in my closet and probably always will. But to be honest when I am bigger (like right now) those smaller sizes are just a tormenting mockery that frustrates me at least once a day. So maybe I'm not the one to ask, but I still say keep them. I hear jeans are easy enough to hem, but I haven't actually tried it myself.
Those are really cute! I hate buying jeans - they never fit right. I say you try and sell them.
You could have quite the hysterical give away.
What about a "giveaway train"---give them to someone---then if they don't fit---they do a giveaway---and then if they don't fit that person---they do a giveaway. Well, you get the idea... :)
I love my skinny jeans---but I only pay 12.00 at Forever 21----that way if they don't fit perfectly....
OH oh oh ... I bought those jeans two weeks ago on modbe. They are a size smaller than I am wearing right now, and I wanted them as motivation pants. They aren't even close to fitting over my monstrous ass, so I'm very bummed. But they are suuuuuper cute, so I am holding onto them hoping that I can someday fit in to them. (along with 80% of the rest of my wardrobe. I know - the baby is 6 months old - it's no longer an excuse.)
You could have them tailored so they aren't so long. My really SHORT friend has that done all the time.
keep 'em...you'll lose the 5 lbs! and yeah..get them altered!
...my husband would be happy if you took me jeans shopping! those are the items I'll splurge on! ;)
I like prizes. Or watching others get prizes. So I'm also going to go with the giveaway vote.
SELL! SELL! SELL!
I was going to see if they had anything else on sale and found this website.
mymodbe.blogspot.com
I don't know what I would do, but they are really cute.
