Xanadu!

Pretty much my first favorite movie. Starting when I was like 5 years old or whenever it came out, I wanted to BE Kira. I wanted to be a Muse. I wanted to dance with Jean Kelly. I wanted to wear barrettes with dangly beads. I wanted to roller skate everywhere I went.

I think I have found my Halloween costume for next year.

Anyone have some knee-high roller skates I can borrow?

Will you be hosting your HAlloween party wearing those? I can just imagine you skating around the house with hors d'oeuvres etc. That would be classic.

No knee high skates, but I do have white roller skates. Seriously, you want them... they're yours. I'm sure you could fashion something to complete the look.

When we went to NYC last year, we bought tix to see Xanadu. The week before we went, the show got completely cancelled. WTH?? So sad.

We had to see Wicked instead. :)

I loved Xanadu too. Still listen to the soundtrack. Still love Olivia NJ. But I was Sonny, the artist looking for a beautiful muse. Except I am a better actor.

My friend just blogged about this movie too and I have to admit I have never seen it and am not sure before I watched the clip that I had even heard about it. I must live under a rock!

It would be awesome to dance with Gene Kelly, yes-sir-ree!

Did you see the broadway version of Xanadu? The soundtract for it is really good. I want to catch it when it goes on tour.

I Loved Xanadu!! I did have those barrettes with ribbons and beads hanging from them and white skates to boot! My friend and I would pretend we were muses skating on the rough road in front of our houses... what a magical time. Thanks for bringing up my memories :)

Why do you feel like you have to wait for Halloween? I think that once you locate the knee-high skates, you should just go for it as a daily look.

i've never seen it...i must not be cool enough!

...if you can't find knee-high roller-skates...maybe regular ones with matching leg-warmers would work?

...those knee-high roller skates ate HOT...i want some...just because! ;)

I'm debating what to comment.
So I openly mock you for your love of this disaster of a movie, or do I confess, that for a minute I wanted to have those roller skates?

Let's go with mocking.

Consider yourself lovingly mocked.

I LOVE THIS MOVIE! At lest I did as a kid. I forced my husband to sit down and watch it with me a couple of years ago. We laughed pretty hard. I wonder if I should get it off of netflix again and have my girls watch it. I bet they would love it too!

You always have way more comments than me. My readers are all very quiet and not too interested in chiming in, I guess. Or maybe my posts are all too lame to respond to.

Dear Alex,

ANYONE is a better actor!

That guy was Olivia's current love interest. Love is blind. And deaf.

Dear Jennie W.

Your blogs are so brilliant how could anyone follow what you write without sounding lame by comparison?

Dear Ari,

You have been especially scintillating the last few weeks! FUN!!!!!!! (And I loved Xanadu, too!)
