I grew up with homemade egg-nog for breakfast every day. Dad stuck a pint in our sleepy hands as he dragged us out of bed every morning, knowing we would start the day nourished.
oh...i think i just threw-up in my mouth a little bit after reading that last comment...and I'm sure "L" is a sweetheart....
When I was little i liked it...with sprite...or watered down with milk....but only store bought that was pasteurized...my husband says his mom used to make them home-made egg-nog...with raw eggs!!! ICK! seriously? people drink raw eggs....and i was worried about eating cookie dough raw...do people not worry about salmonella around the holidays? Just askin'
If you don't know me, here's your fill of Arianne trivia: I'm from Detroit. I love baked goods, 80's new wave, sleeping, dancing, trees, growing green things, traveling, trivia games, pasta, sushi, Wes Anderson movies, dancing, sleeping, reading the classics, learning languages, old musicals, and NOT doing math. I hate following trends; I enjoy being original. I have three kids and one husband. Big Daddy (the husband), is awesome. He makes me laugh constantly and could be nominated for Father Of the Year every day. He has sexy legs and confidently wears pink and purple. Not together. Daphne is 9 1/2. She is artistic, curious, loves animal toys with very large eyes, and prefers an all sugar diet or nothing at all. Beck is 8. He is a sweet, gentle boy. He is super smart and very musical. He speaks Chinese, loves Michael Jackson, and can read like a 5th grader. Pippa, our baby, is 3 1/2. She is the happiest, friendliest, sweetest child ever. She loves snuggles and saying surprisingly grown up things. Most importantly, she doesn't have brown eyes! We also have two cats, Cleopatra and Margot, who regularly forget that they can't walk across the pond. And that about sums us up.
Om is the sound of the universe: Heaven, earth, hell and silence all in one word. It represents the omniscience, omnipotence, and omnipresence of God. Om is a syllable of meditation and grounding. It is also a tattoo on my lower back.

NO!!!!! I cant stand Eggnog. Andre loves it and Mason will drink it.
Not as a drink, but in a shake.
Yes, please. Must be mixed half and half with milk though...straight is too much for me.
YES YES YES Can't get enough!
I love it! Just once a year though, it's too rich for more often than that.
Yes, but I am usually done after one cup.
Um, hell yes.
No.
Sick.
Yes, but not as much as when i was a kid.
Oh my gosh I love it so much.
I can't handle it year-round, but I SEARCH for it once The Holidays begin.
Yes!! I love it!
Smell it? Yes. Drink it? No.
Yes, so very yes. Have you ever used it to make french toast? It's so good!! Even the non-egg nog husband of mine likes it.
Yumm-o
Oh my, is it that time already? Yes, but no alcohol. It makes it taste weird.
Absolutely. Every day of the year, if I could. And yes, Megan - it makes excellent French toast!
FOREVER AND EVER, YUMMY!

CHOCOLATE, PEANUT-BUTTER EGGNOG:
(Mix in blender)
1 CUP SKIM MILK
1 FRESH EGG
1 TBS SUGAR
1 TSP VANILLA
DASH SALT
1 - 2 TBS PEANUT BUTTER
1 - 2 TSP COCOA
Tastes like a liquid Reece's cup!
It isn't as rich and thick as the store-bought, but it sure fills you up with good calories!

Love it! Will try recipe above! Yes, virgin of course! couldn't believe some put booze in it.
Ummm--not even no--HELL no--blech!!
Although that chocolate PB one sounds FABULOUS!! I'm putting it on my "try" list for my next day off.
Nope and not even anything during the holidays that is flavored like eggnog. DIS.GUS.TING!
I enjoy it but the calories don't love me. It must be watered down with milk though to tolerate it. Sprite works well too :)
YES!
I like the idea of it more than I actually like drinking it.
yes, please! Ice cold makes it even better.
Yes. Small amount. And not every day. :)
Sorry. No.
Nope---uh, uh.
Yuk, Yuk, and more Yuk. I must not have the Nance gene.
YES! I've even made my own and I've come to realize that what makes this drink is the rum flavoring.
