Are you allowed to use Agave? I love it so much better! It is a natural sweetener. It has no flavor but it looks like honey.

I LOVE beet greens cooked, with a little vinegar on them.

...also my youngest son and I eat celery plain...and as far as I can tell we are sane humans. Oh, and the wonder Pets eat celery plain too...kado!https://www.blogger.com/profile/06376884479035290738noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-153439800823000090.post-51205881643256011182010-03-23T09:45:29.788-06:002010-03-23T09:45:29.788-06:00Oh and I forgot the other veggie I'm enjoying ...Oh and I forgot the other veggie I'm enjoying on HCG! Baby bok choy.

Haha and you'll notice I cook my veggies all about the same (I have a love affair with crushed red pepper :).

Baby bok choy:
Saute chopped red bell pepper until soft/caramelized, then spray pan with PAM. Remove ends from 2 heads of baby bok choy and add leaves to pan and cook until just wilted. (Some people like to chop the leaves before cooking, but I like them whole). As usual, I add tons of crushed red pepper and salt and pepper. This would also be good with Bragg's Aminos (not sure if you have this, but it's just like soy sauce and it's allowed on HCG).

Likewise, I also ate this off of HCG diet but cooked in oil and added almonds. It's another diet recipe through David Kirsch.workaanoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-153439800823000090.post-9610306464361519822010-03-23T09:33:44.770-06:002010-03-23T09:33:44.770-06:00i haven't strayed from 2 ways to eat my veggie...i haven't strayed from 2 ways to eat my veggies (at least yet) because they're so, so good.

spinach:
saute a thick slice of red onion, chopped), with a clove of garlic and a handful of grape tomatoes in whatever oil you can use or Pam. After caramelized and the tomatoes begin to burst, add in 2 big handfuls of fresh baby spinach and spray lightly with Pam. I add a very generous sprinkling of crushed red pepper as well as season with kosher salt and fresh cracked black pepper as I go along. It is so, so good. I ate this off the HCG diet but cooked it in olive oil, added sundried tomatoes as well, then finished it with parmesan cheese. The HCG version is almost just as good, and on this diet, it tastes decadent.

cabbage:
Similar to the spinach...
Saute a thick slice of red onion, chopped, then add 3 big handfuls of chopped green cabbage...season with lots of crushed red pepper, salt and black pepper and saute however much you like it done. I like mine pretty caramelized with just a tad of crunch. I had this for dinner last night with 100g of steak. So, so good!

I agree with you on eating cold salads...on this diet, it just doesn't signal my full triggers, but the hot veggies do!workaanoreply@blogger.com
